The way we experience spaces defines the true meaning of Interior Design. It’s a powerful, essential part of our daily lives that affects how we live, work, play, and even heal. Comfortable homes, functional workplaces, and beautiful public spaces all demonstrate the power of Interior Design.
At Geneva Lake Design, we make it our goal to craft spaces that anticipate our clients’ needs and appeal to their emotions by pulling from a broad set of skills and technical knowledge. Our Designers work with contractors, architects, engineers, craftsmen, furniture dealers, as well as business and homeowners. Geneva Lake Design stands out with our well-rounded background and skills in multiple disciplines such as home staging, commercial and residential redesign, architecture, graphic design, decorative arts, and textile, furniture, and lighting design.
Oftentimes, when our clients look at a picture of a room, they think it is beautiful, but can’t say why. It is hard for them to tell what the designer did to produce such a beautiful environment. They may even know where the designer got the sofa, the upholstery, the wallpaper, the rug, chairs, tables, lighting fixtures, and accessories. Geneva Lake Design
provides the missing ingredient by knowing what it takes to create a successful interior. We use three simple guidelines as our foundation.
1. A successful room is functional—The starting point in all good rooms is to decide in advance what functions the room must fulfill for our clients.
2. A successful room expresses a mood—Mood refers to the general look or feel you want a room to emulate such as modern, rustic, sleek or traditional.
3. A successful room exhibits a sense of harmony—Harmony refers to the appropriateness of all elements to ensure they “work together” in our interior design plans. We make sure that every aspect of design remains harmonious in mood, scale, quality, and color.
